The Three Core Web Vitals
LCP — Largest Contentful Paint
Good: Under 2.5sMeasures how fast the main content of your page loads. A slow LCP means users wait too long to see your page content, increasing bounce rates and reducing trust.
INP — Interaction to Next Paint
Good: Under 200msMeasures how quickly your page responds to user interactions like clicks and taps. Replaced FID as a Core Web Vital in March 2024. A slow INP makes your site feel broken.
CLS — Cumulative Layout Shift
Good: Under 0.1Measures how much your page layout shifts unexpectedly during loading. High CLS causes users to accidentally click the wrong elements, frustrating them and hurting conversions.
